A practising Geo-Economist, Mahesh is a Global Strategy and Cross-border Investments expert with close to 3 decades of diverse, cross-functional & cross-sectoral global experience, leading multiple strategic transformational projects, organic & inorganic expansions, raising capital, driving FDI and strategically advising some of the leading global organizations and governments. Mahesh is the Regional Head of Advisory Services based in Nairobi, Kenya. He leads Andersen’s efforts of driving sustainable socio-economic transformation in the region through three integrated streams:
He has had a well-accomplished corporate career with respected global brands like KPMG, PwC, DHL, QAI, and Expeditors. Having built businesses across Africa, Asia, Europe, the USA, and the Middle East, with P&Ls ranging from new business units to a few hundred million dollars. Prior to Andersen, he ran a successful Geo-Economics and Investment Advisory firm ‘LiveBean’, with offices in India, Kenya & Indonesia. At KPMG he served as the Managing Partner for the overall Management Consulting practice for Eastern Africa and held multiple executives and industry vertical leadership. At PwC he was leading the Strategy& Operations practice across Central, East and West Africa. A strong proponent of the shift from geo-politics to geo-economics, over the last 9 years’ majority of his work has been focused on the core ideology of driving sustainable economic & social transformation through the synergizing cross-border private sector, governments, financial institutions, and philanthropic ecosystems. He also served as the Special Economic Advisor in one of the counties in Kenya, promoting ‘Special Economic Corridor’ initiatives with participating states in India, the USA, Kenya, and UAE. He was instrumental in architecting a bill passed both in the House & Senate in the State of Indiana, USA declaring Indiana and Narok as sister-states. Married and having one daughter, he is a squash enthusiast and an open waters scuba diver. |
