Marco is an Associate Director at Andersen in Kenya. He has been involved in offering tax advisory services, investor tax advisory and due diligence reviews, computation of corporate and business tax liabilities, tax training, transfer pricing, corporation tax, withholding tax, personal tax and VAT reviews, and VAT refund audits and certification.

Marco has more than 9 year’s extensive experience in performing in depth analysis of client’s transactions to assess the level of compliance with the Kenya tax legislation. He has assisted many of our clients in assessing the level of compliance with the Income Tax Act and the VAT Act by review on a sample basis the organization’s records for PAYE, VAT, WHT, and Reverse VAT (RVAT);

Also, he has a deep understanding of international taxation. He has combined this knowledge and the experience accumulated locally to help international clients set up in Kenya on numerous occasions. He has been involved in the clients’ decisions that revolve around most suitable business structures, issues with tax implications of the corporate structure, Contract reviews for tax efficiency, and transfer pricing. The clients he has advised have also benefited from his understanding of special economic zones and Government incentives for foreign investors in various sectors of the Kenyan Economy.
